Traveling to understand each other. To regenerate. To find yourself. To give space to the need to confront the “other”, the “different”. To experience a new dimension of the self called to leave one’s comfort zones and open up to the world. Need for silence, to rest, to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle, to distance ourselves from situations that stress and hurt us, from a job that does not satisfy us. And we need to breathe deeply. To fill our every cell with fresh air. From these situations often comes the impulse to travel.
What could be better than a wellness holiday? A yoga retreat by the sea in Italy or in Spain, an Ayurveda centre in Europe or India, Thailand or Sri Lanka where you can let yourself be pampered and finally feel serene, a detox retreat to regain shape and renew your energy, an anti-burnout programm to take your life back in hand.
Life should be all a vacation, but it is not and often when we come back we find ourselves faced with the same problems that we left behind. But certainly with some more tools to deal with them, with the centering and contact with the self necessary to change attitude and take the necessary resolutions. Give yourself time, learn to take care of yourself, starting from the little things, giving yourself a moment of respite, giving yourself a cuddle and the necessary attention.
Starting with a breath, as important as it is neglected. When situations stress and overwhelm us, we should learn to take a breath. We start from the breathing, we start from taking care of our body and then … suitcase in hand, we leave to our favorite destinations to embark on inner journeys that choose the world as their stage, as retreat bases devoted to holistic cultures, Ayurveda and to Oriental Medicine, as companions of our path specialists capable of supporting, motivating and suggesting treatments and itineraries that involve body-mind-spirit.
To give back to travel its most authentic dimension: discovery of enchanted places and discovery of the most enchanted place: oneself.
